*coughWayoftheSamuraicough* Character named Donald Donatelous. He's a black guy, has an afro (Whether or not a wig is unclear. WotS2 has an afro-wig, supposedly from DonaDona) and wears a pink kimono.
So, not really original.
Still, I'd go watch it if it gets here. Trailers looks spiffy.

and better, and less stereotypical(I'm not holding my breath), Is GHost Dog, A live-action movie starring (of all people) Forest Whitaker. Fucking AWESOME!

Yup....
Most people don't know that Afro Samurai is a Japanese dōjinshi manga series, created by Takashi Okazaki, originally featured in the Nononhow dōjin magazine. Sure it's stereotypical, but then again, so is every other manga ever made by humans.
Sure, Ghost Dog was great... it's similar only that it's a black man with a sword, however.

So if you take Samurai Champloo and add Snakes on a Plane you get this? Sweet.

You're gonna have to help me with what you were trying to say with this.

What he's trying to say is that alien manga is the pinnacle of originality.
