because I dont want to overwhelm you, these will be short summories of the most basic plot and settings.

Avarous
Setting: Fantasy with some lost technology thrown in. Demons rule the planet with humans little more then myths

Plot: The Emporer is hunting down a master theif that steals, repairs, and uses lost technology. While the thief Avarous and his unwelcomed companion try to defeat the Lords and find a very rare artifact.

Blight

Setting: Fantasy/sci-fi

Plot: Machines known as the Blight replicate themselves by infecting living organisms and converting them into machines. Due to this those that haven't been completely turned are shunned. However some have risked it and reverse engineered the machines in a hope of combining magic and technology to defeat the Blight

Human Remnant

Setting: Future

Plot: After a global plague humans are a dying race. However survival of the fittest holds true. Human evolution was excellerated making them strong, fast, and able to preform an attack known as psi pulse. Because of their power they are both feared and respected. This is a character driven story based around a human captain and his crew of mercenaries as they take any mission that pays.

Un-named

Setting: Fantasy, school

Plot: In this world there are people known as card masters. They can seal anything, even magic and monsters, into cards. This story focuses on a school dedicated to training people in both sealing and release techniques.

well those are the ones off top of my head. I have others but, hate to throw out to many. Though that last one is more of a concept. I just like the whole anime high school genre as well as the idea of sealing attacks, monsters, weapons, ect into cards. But I like it for a comic equally with the others.

PS those of you that have RPed with me might recognize a few. I often like to RP my ideas, in fact in one I have a few story arcs I got from people in this forum. So yea...cameos

PPS I would still like a dedicated artist. So PM me if your interested. I just want to decide on which to focus on

First off, don't ever do the second and fourth. They are, respectivily, The Borg and Yu-Gi-Oh!/CCS.

I like the third one best, meself.

Wow. I like the Avarice one best.

The third one beckons forth "mind-flayer" cuthulu type beasts. heh.

The occult aspects of the first one MAY be a little hard to step around, with politics of the average God believer oł worshipper looking down on it.

Pros for first one:
-you can draw up AWESOME hellish nightmares, and their surroundings, tweaking and turning what`s already been done, or making your own.
-the adventure itself would be awash in intrigue, for indeed demons would be subtle in their dealings, and brutal in their attacks.
-by making humans the "lost enemy" you have already put a twist on the story, which refreshes.

Cons:
-some people are spooked when you get into the darker aspects of spirituality
-it`s going to take forever to draw. The third story would be easier to draw, I think, because you can wiresketch humans even with their foibles. Making demons might be harder, especially if you put intelligent mind to it.
-As with any plot or idea, you need to ensure that it is fresh. Look at what the genre, (yes, there will ALWAYS be a genre. :D) is showing to be. Then, AVOID the "usual". Brian`s doing a good job with that. He`s playing the parody within the game, but also eschewing the norm of the genre.

It also helps, as one could imagine, to be one of the first of the genre. ;)

Good luck, and keep us posted!

[edit] note on first one, I pull from many mythologies. But mainly christian (gothic), shintoism, native american beliefs, ancient egyptian mythology, celtic, noris, and some stuff I just made up.

Also, one of lords is a vampire like demon. with no humans to feed on he stays alive from basking in the dark aura of Hell released onto the world. Yes I have a hole leading to Hell in this thing.

Oh and in that story its not always dark. most demons aren't that strong and relatively peaceful. After all if you break the law you have gods to deal with

...crap I revealed more story. I like talking about my various plots way too much

I know, spoilers!

I like Human Remnant, if only because "human crew of mercenaries" brings back pleasant memories of Firefly.

I like the first, but to a lesser extent, partially because I feel Fantasy webcomics are a dime a dozen, but yours does seem to stand out. Still, I like Sci-Fi better than fantasy, so I'd vote number 3.

I happen to like Blight, but that's because it sounds kind of like Total Annihlation. And I love that game.

The third idea, I also like.

I like Human Remnant the best...Are you drawing them yourself, Aerozord?

I'd have to go with your third idea, although the first one could also be pretty interesting.

well in all honesty I suck at drawing. So I am still looking for an artist, hard to find someone reliable. However I might try to do artwork myself, but if I do I doubt it will look halfway decent.

So if anyone wants to (or you know of someone) do the artwork let me know.

hmm maybe I should have made this a poll. Avarous and Human Remnant do seem to be the most popular.

Only mods can make polls.

And, I just realized, the first one, Avarous or whatever, do you mean "Avarice"?

I'm pretty sure it's a pun off of it for his name, yeah.

I thought maybe he/she misspelled it.

more or less Mesden is correct. Originally I wanted to name him Avarice, but when I designed the main character I misspelled it and wrote Avarous. Rather then change it I decided to leave it as is. Thought it would give it abit more depth. I guess kinda like how Phantasy Star is spelled with a ph

The third one sounds pretty good. The fourth one, as mentioned above, is pretty much Yu-Gi-Oh. The first one is mildly interesting to me, but mostly because you are putting sci-fi next to fantasy and I always prefer sci-fi. The second one is a no-no, if not because it strongly reminds me of the Borg (and would thus seem almost plagiaristic) then because I think fantasy and sci-fi should never never never NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER mix. EVER.

EDIT: Actually I think you can throw out more details you might be thinking of without boring anybody. I think knowing the nature of the demons in I1 or the extent of mutations in I3 might make it an easier (or more difficult) decision.

hmm ok I can do that.

Avarous
Demons have a wide range of strengths and abilities. There are weak mindless demons called Pest Demons, they are basically the demonic equivalent of a lion or bear.
Next up are peasent demons. They have a life span thats longer then humans and they are stronger, but not by much and they have no special powers. They are the most common sentient demons and are main workforce.

Then we have several other classes, what seperates them all from peasents are that they have special abilities. Although you are born into a class you can move up simply by improving your skills. Unless you were born a peasent. Only way for a peasent to advance is to become a spiritualist.

Spiritualists use spiritual power to fight instead of their demonic power. In essence they can preform magic and seals. They channel their power through an item, often a staff, however high level ones can preform it without that item at reduced power. Also they are the only ones that can truely defeat spirits. (they can use white magic, but its a forbidden art since it would destroy the user)

Second highest level are the Lords. There are currently seven. Lightning, Elemental, Darkness, Spiritualist, Nature, Dragon, Shape-shifting. All of them are decendents of the original lords (there were 8 but one blood-line died out). Exception being the Shape-shifting lord. That demon has lived since the great war and besides the Emporer, the only one that knows what really happened.

Emporer is the strongest of all demons, the seven lords combined couldn't beat him. His blood-line also has a very long life span of about 800 years.

An unusual race are the soul reapers. They share qualities of Gods, Demons, and Spirits. Because of this they have a network (almost entirely in the spirit world) that is independent of Emporer's control.

Higher Gods are the gods we know of from various cultures such as Odin, Anubis, and Shiba. All of which were sealed long ago with the exception of one that was far too powerful to seal. In western religions this being is simply known as God.

Blight
There are two ways the machines convert. One is by simply infecting someone. That person will eventually lose their consiousness and become a drone. How long this takes various, however the conversion will continue untill their entire body is machine.

The other is for a complete conversion. People are taken to special machines that excellerate this process and completely convert them in minutes. They maintain their memories and mind, but become loyal to the machines. Then they become the machines generals.

Human Remnant
Humans are stronger, faster, smarter, and have sharper sences then any other race. They are also immune to most poisons and illness and have very long life spans. In addition they can create a shock-wave called psi-pulse and in a limited form telekenisis (can lift only about ten pounds).

One on one no creature can beat a human. Because of this enhancement suits and anti-human machines (like robots) have been created. Latest model droids can put up a fight even against a skilled human.

There are also half breeds. Humans are sought after as mates by other races, though humans much preffer other humans. Especially since they are a dying race. Half breeds aren't as strong as humans, but in certain areas (speed, strength, ect) they can match a pure breed.

Avarous sounds very interesting, I'd go with that one.

numbe 1 has a cool idea and i think it might be better to play it as a humorous adventure, rouges reek of charisma, and if this guy repairs a ranged depantsing device, it could be hilarious.
