Look on some of them an dispare!
Some could actually be cool...some however are what the hell were they thinking...
Also I notice a lack of Doctor Strange on on any list...Why is the good Doctor always screwed out of stuff?...probably because his entire premise is extremely hard to understand...but you'd think that they'd make a movie of him for all of us fans out there...

My only hope is that they will see the need to make several of these R-rated at the least and come to understand that not all stories can survive ebing PG. *tear for Punisher*

Ghost Rider – Sony, Feb. '07
HOORAY!
Spider-Man 3 - Sony, May '07
SHITTING SELF WITH JOY!
Fantastic Four 2 – Fox, June '07
Damn it to hell.
Magneto - Fox
Yeah, great, but where's Iceman: The Movie?
The Punisher 2 - Lions Gate
Crap.
Wolverine – Fox
Didn't they make that film already? In fact, weren't there three of them? Weren't they called X-Men 1, 2, and 3? Why yes, they were.
Iron Man
...is going to suck!
And there's my two cents.

I know...I know. I mean, The Punisher is just about my favorite character that's ever been in a comic...and, I mean, the movie wasn't that bad, but it was, like, totally bad.
And, most of it is "HOPE TO HIGH HEAVEN THAT IT TURNS OUT NOT SHITTY", since, well, comic books movies tend to do that.
I dunno, let's just hope Superman upped that bar that the comic movies needed, because Marvel needs to match it and it's going to be hard. (From this person's view.)

They realized that probably they couldn't make a movie out of him that doesn't suck.

Man, I want to be hopeful for Ghost Rider. Really, I do. But watch the trailer. It just reeks of suck.
The guy who's doing the Avengers did X, X2, and Hulk. That's actually pretty good, because Hulk's suckitude had nothing to do with the writing.

Now now. The trailer looks decent. Sides, with comic book movie trailers, I've found that they rarely are as good as the actual movie.
I mean, Nicolas CAGE.
Hey, I like him.

Wow. Hmm. I decide to respond to the rather comprehensive list...
Studio Financed Films
Production
Ghost Rider – Sony, Feb. '07
Will be good enough, though the concept is slightly difficult to translate to film, methinks.
Spider-Man 3 - Sony, May '07
Right. This Spider-Man movie won't suck becuase it has Topher Grace in it? Here's me holding my breath.
Fantastic Four 2 – Fox, June '07
Only becuase the ever-lovin', blue-eyed Thing is in it, will I see this movie... Jessica Alba in catsuits also help.
Development
Deathlok - Paramount
Um, what?
Gargoyle - Sony
Like... the old Disney Afternoon cartoon 'Gargoyle' or am I not up on my Marvel?
Magneto - Fox
Interesting but... Why? I thought we got a pretty good Magneto story in the X-men flicks.
Namor - Universal
If they can show him beating up the original Huamn Torch in 1945 ala 'Marvels', I'll be happy.
The Punisher 2 - Lions Gate
Isn't Lions Gate a porno studio?
Wolverine – Fox
...Someone already took the good 'Wolverine movie' joke.
Self-Financed Films
Iron Man
Release date - May 2, 2008
I'm down. More superheros should be alcholics.
The Incredible Hulk
Distributed by Universal
Are we talking sequel to the Super-awsome John Woo film? HULK was a good flick, and I could stand to see him beat up another tank.
Ant-Man
Distributed by Paramount
But... gah.... jzit... FOR WHY?!
Captain America
Distributed by Paramount
Couldn't they just combine him with the 'Nick Fury' movie? Cap's great, but some pretty awful attempts have been made at movies and shows about him...
Nick Fury
Distributed by Paramount
Starring, David Hasslehoff I hope!
Thor
Distributed by Paramount
They'll either ruin the charecter, or it'll be 2 hours of film featuring 1&1/2 hours of jokes about how 'thor looks like a fag' either in the film or from the audience.
The Avengers
Distributed by Paramount
Except, oh, the only Avenger anyone cares about already has his own film in production apparently? sheesh.

I'm sort of excited about the Nick Fury movie. I'll only see it if it's Ultimate Nick Fury, because I like him a lot more than NF in regular continuity.

Much more Deadpool.
Like, Deadpool 1, Deadpool 2: This time it's personal, and Deadpool 5: Because the 4th one was broken.
On the note of Ghost Rider: Nick Cage sucks. That is all.
SUCKS I tell you.
For Thor though, if they made him a wee bit like he was in Marvel 1602, that would be so freakin' sweet!

I'm a racist bastard who thinks all directors with asian sounding names are the same guy. I mean, hell, didn't the guy who does the voice for Ash on Pokemon also do Vash? Doesn't the same set of jappenesse guys make all anime?
I sure don't know, becuase I'm an idiot, apparently.

I've never heard someone insult themselves so fluently before. Applause is indeed neccesary.
But in related news, I'm looking forward to Iron Man and Ghost Rider. I always liked them.

I'm not so sure there should be a Deadpool movie. I think we can all agree that one of Deadpool's main selling points is the sheer amount of silly that seeps unchecked from his talking hole. Problem is, in comic form, he can wax philosophically, insult somebody's mother, think of a letter to Penthouse, and make a snide comment about some washed up celebrity in the amount of time it takes him to kick someone in the head. You really can't do that with a movie as things will be moving at normal speed. Like Spiderman, it can't be as funny in movie form. But unlike Spiderman, funny is about all Deadpool has. Besides, the way the movies tend to be going, they seem to lean towards the Ultimate line. And Ultimate Deadpool was the worst character assassination I've ever seen.
Nique

Also, Deadpool is markedly different in that, while being a part of the normal Marvel continuity, he constantly breaks the fourth wall (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deadpool#Breaking_the_fourth_wall).

Eh, you change the caption humor to voice-over humor, it'll do fine.
The quick wit in fighting, the only reason that doesn't work is cause Sam Raimi's a lazy prick who makes stupid excuses for not doing things right. I mean hell, they've had Spider-Man cartoons haven't they? It worked just fine in those.

...An old man who was afraid of his powers and God, who mauls the ground with a large stick to transform into Thor?
Uh...Roy...in Marvel 1602...That was Thor...Nick Fury was Nick Fury...not an old man...
I personally can't wait for Spider Man 3...Deadpool might be a cool movie...if done right
Nick Fury, could be good...it could just be done as a spy sort of thing and it would work out fine
Deathlok...why would they do it...does Deathlok have any fans?
Ant Man...just confused me...why would they make an Ant Man movie...I'd rather see a Green Lantern Movie and I have a general distaste for anything DC (aside from Batman)
Doctor Strange should have a movie...but as was said before there is no garentee that it wouldn't suck...
I know how some people feel about Wolverine...but if they did something like the comic book Weapon X (one of the greatest works of comics ever) then it could be good...or if they did stuff like from the original Wolverine comics it could be ok...
Iron Man I hope will be ok...
Not really interested in Ghost Rider...though I like Nick Cage...and it's about time he's in a Marvel movie...his last name comes from a Marvel character....which one? I'll leave that for everyone else to figure out...
Until Next Time,
Love,

Germans love David Hasslehoff!
Seriously, though. My first reaction was negative to that idea, but honestly, I couldn't think of anyone better. Which is sad, really. The best leading man Hollywood can produce for the role of Nick freaking Fury is David "Knight Rider" Hasslehoff. I think I need a drink.
As for a Deadpool movie, I agree that they could handle it right by switching over to voice-over jokes...maybe have him lament the loss of his speech balloons and whatnot.

A pretty easy one if you have the right family (teehee a hint!)

The only way I can see a Wolverine movie work would be if the story was the one where he goes to Japan. Y'know, by Frank Miller?
And DBS, I'm sure we all appreciate that William Shatner impersonation you got going on, but could you tone it down a bit? Thanks.

Of course they would leave out the monolouging from that story arc if they did it. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
Anyways, A deadpool movie would work if Deadpool constantly broke the fourth wall, had another minor comic book hero to make fun of in the movie, mispells his own name at least once, and have a scene where he's just watching TV waiting for something to happen. Oh, and they have to cast Chuck Norris as the pre-Weapon X Deadpool.

Yeah I could see that actually he'd just have to...not be Vince Vaughn for one movie (or more than one if they have sequels). I say this because he basically acts the same why in every movie he's in...and it's clear that just about every role isn't much of a streatch from normal for him...at least he's dynamic though...I mean remember Triple X with Vin Desiel? Did some one throw a chair in the room? Oh wait that's just Vin acting...really really hard.
Ooh! What if they did decide to do Luke Cage? Who would play him?
