Well. I'm confused.

Is it a COMIC, or a comic COMPANY, Like Blue King or Marvel?

I say Blue King, because they're pretty small too, and THAT OTHER ONE kills all its cool characters.

You mean a script? I'll have to use one I haven't used before, because most of mine were little things that no-one would, y'know, BUY.

Incidentally, what kind of comic do you plan to publish?

We seem to have reached a misunderstanding. I do not draw.

I think he's talking about those marvel/dc comics, the ones with the awesome drawn pictures and relatively small speech bubbles. Which I think is a great idea for the internet, since there are alot of people around here who can draw very well and don't seem to have much else to do than draw fan fiction.

As I see it, Roy is a writer...

Meaning he puts in the bubbles but he can't necessarily draw, per se. May hap he can put a storyline together and make arcs and can't draw?

And JC123 wins the special "Figure out what Roy does" contest! And I don't put in the bubbles. That's what a letterer does.

What sort of plans do you have for this comic company? Do you have a target demographic, startup capital, anything?
I mean honestly, I can say that I am going to build an awesome factory, But not knowing how to produce awesome or run a factory while lacking the skills to implement even the design faze then it would all be a pipe dream no?

seems all yer getting here are writers *grin*
Though it might help to get people interested if you gave us all a basis on what this comic stuff would be on: comedy, action, romance, sprite, drawing. Need to be specific to get the right people

Infested_Bio

Bio, could you brush up on your writing a bit? For most people around here, chatspeak is actually harder to read than normal English, and besides there's really no reason to use it on a forum where you have all the time in the world for typing out your post. Think of it as a gesture of goodwill. If nothing else, it'll help your comic company plans come across more seriously.

I'm serious. Besides, have a look at the rules with me.

The Double-Posting Thing: we don't like double-posting because it's kinda spammy and pointlessly takes up space. Double-posting looks kind of like this:

SomeUser: blahblahblahblahblahblahblahblah
(posted at 5:15:05 PM)
SomeUser: oh, and blahblahblahblahblahblah too
(posted at 5:15:07 PM)

See? So what you do, if you have something to say right after your first post, is you go back and edit it into the first post using the "edit" button to the bottom right of your message.
One rule broken by you.
Try to make your posts as legible as possible, and for the love of god, lay off the pseudo-gangsta talk and the 1337, unless you *want* people to be reminded of the "non-word-rememberin' mofo" from the Big Hit every time you post.
The second.

And the third is my personal "don't be a smartass toward someone who politely asks you" rule.

In conclusion, you're hereby warned and on probation until someone takes you off it. On their own, mind. Don't go pestering us about it.

EDIT: Well, on second thought, you did make an effort, so, what the hell. Scratch the probation. Still, keep the double-posting thing in mind, okay?

Well I was going to ask if you needed another writer especially since I have an idea in mind...but...you just don't seem to have a business plan...at all...If you come up with an actual one then maybe I'd help you out but...you don't seem to have any idea how to start a business...

Good Luck,
DBS

I have to ask - do you have any actual comic plans or is your main goal getting that guest comic up? It's probably not the best idea to make a comic just for the sake of making a comic. Sure, it's cooler to be Joe Comicmaker than just Joe Normal, but being Joe Goodstorywriter is the best in the long run.

(And "a reaper"? As in, skeleton with scythe and cloak that you shouldn't fear?)

Roy_D_Mylote
08-16-2006, 04:25 PM
No. I did not fully explain the concept to him before he ran off shooting his yim-yams. It was much more complicated and involved no scythes. Or cloaks.
