Mike Mignola made a one-shot comic a long time ago called the Amazing Screw-On Head, about a robot that fought paranormal evil for Abraham Lincoln. now, apparently, the Sci-Fi channel is considering making a tv show based on the comic. they've got a pilot online you can watch it here (http://www.scifi.com/amazingscrewonhead/), afterwards, fill out thier survey if you liked it.
I have to say, it was damn funny.

It was okay...kinda reminded me of the Tick a bit. The scene at the beginning with the werewolf seemed a bit too violent considering the tone of the rest of the episode.
Don't know if this'll be marketed towards kids, but picture this: an old woman transforms into a 12-foot tall werewolf, rips apart some soldiers, then transforms back into her (now naked) old woman form after being saved by a monkey with a machinegun from being charbroiled by a flamethrower-wielding supersoldier. The chimp saves her by shooting the flamethrower's fuel tank, thus incinerating the soldier.
Okay, that's pretty cool, but it's not particularly lighthearted or funny, which is how the rest of the episode is played out. Didn't seem to fit. On the plus side, the main villain, Dr. Zombie, was great (voiced awesomely by David Hyde Pierce). He pretty much stole the show with his hilarious dialogue. Oddly, the main character, Screw On Head, was kinda blandly drawn, had a very straight-laced demeanor, and was overall hard to get into.
Plus, what kind of name is Screw On Head? I mean, sure, it's descriptive, but you'd think he'd have a normal name, like Howard or Shane, that you could call him, and then maybe his last name would be Screw-On-Head (hyphenated, of course, they're so en vogue right now). So the show could be called: The Amazing Adventures of Mr. Screw-On-Head, but Abraham Lincoln could still call him Howard, and it wouldn't sound so weird.

i do have to say that Emperor Zombie did steal much of the show, but i think that could be easily fixed in the series. Screw-On Head could easily be given better dialouge, and perhaps up his antics a bit to equal that of Emperor Zombie.
i don't think they're gonna market it twoards kids, at least, i hope they dont. Sci-Fi channel doesnt have much of a history with children's TV shows, so i don't know why they'd start now.
why would he have a normal name? he's not normal. he's a just a head that attaches to robot bodies. first name Screw-On, last name Head. he is Amazing. what more of a name do you need?

God, another one?
I swear, don't they have any original ideas anymore?!
...
But yeah, I watched it, and all I can say is Hellboy + The Tick + Abraham Lincoln = Awesome!

I should really hope not, IIRC that was what pretty much killed the Tick, upon a time.

That was... interesting. I definitely liked it, and it was obvious it was made the same guy who made Hellboy, which made it better in some way.
Also, yes, Emperor Zombie was amazing. "And now I'm going to smoke you." That part was just so out there, but still hilarious.
Also, I liked the ending with Mr. Dog. Nothing like a little slapstick to make things better.

saw the link on PA this morning. Holy crap that ruled. It felt a little rushed, but that basically just added to the already chaotic feel.
