Well, your anger issues are your own matter as long as no one gets hurt.

Just a heads-up, this isn't your average forum where you'll find a lot of responses in the vein of "yeah it sucks." We prefer discussion.

Well, I can't say it's my favorite show, but I do enjoy it. It's not straight, dry wit or obvious sarcastic comedy, but a sheer display of crazy, Japanese silly that gets a giggle and sometimes a riot out of me.

Can't say I'd waste money taping it and then cooking it though. @@

To bring some actual discussion to this threat, here are some reasons why the "amime" BoBoBo-BoBo-BoBo should be hated so much you should tape it and barbecue the VHS:

1. Just kidding. There are no actual reasons I can think of. Unless the tape is delicious, then by all means go ahead.

I personally am amused by the show. It's just the weekly dosage of crazy you need to get by in your life.

As well as grammar.

Due to being forced to move repeatedly I haven't had a chance to watch Bobo. It caught my interest when Cartoon Network picked it up though. I wonder if any of my (few) local friends have some episodes downloaded...

Come to think of it, what does constitute an anime? Style? Origin? I haven't seen this one, but from the descriptions I gather it's filled with silliness, which in my experience features heavily in a whole lot of animes.

It is quite silly. In fact, probably the silliest anime to ever exist. It doesn't take itself seriously at all, the plot doesn't make any sense, and the fight scenes are completely ridiculous. It is pure comedy gold. It also makes fun of steriotypical anime situations(meeting the boss bad guy, confessions of love, etc) in very humorous ways. I highly recommend you watch it instead of torching it.

If you miss one part of Bobobo you are confused for the rest of the episode. I personally enjoy the anime because I love the craziness. Then again, I am crazy... >> <<

I have one word to say.

CHUROS!!!!!!!

The show is so random and somewhat stupid you just laugh

Another fan of the show right here. Like everyone else, the randomness of the show just makes me love it for no good reason at all.

And, really, the stuff popping out of BoBoBo's head is classic. Hell, in the manga that my friend showed me, Yugi freaking popped out of there! Yes, from Yugi-Oh. And yes, it was hilarious watching him come out of Bobobo's afro to destroy everything in sight.

Typically, what classifies something as an Anime is that it is hand drawn and comes from Japan. But even then, that definition is getting altered with a few movies having been made 100% digital (looks like hand drawn but was actually done all on computers) and some 'Anime is actually being done alot or all in Korea. Just airing first on Japanese stations. I believe a few episodes of Naruto were done entirely in Korea (where most of the episodes are done with Japanese artists doing to main drawings and Koreans doing the in between art and coloring on computers).

So really, I don't know what classifies something as an 'Anime' anymore aside from it being on a Japanese TV Station/Theater first. However, Bobo is most definitely classified as an Anime because it is based on a Manga serialized in a major Manga publishing magazine.

I have that manga. Although it's the first Bobobo graphic novel to be translated in english, it actually doesn't start in the beginning of manga. Unlike the anime, it is very very violent. Especially when the group slaughtered a bunch of 2-foot tall aliens by driving a train car into them.

Honestly, the randomness is what kills it for me. It's too random. Fighting by telling stories about food? King nosehair, who doesn't even do anything? A world where hair is bad? <insert more ridiculous things that only a crack team of japanese people could think up>

Sure, I likes me some random funnies, but this takes it over the edge. Like Looney Tunes over the edge. Y'know when they fall off the cliff? Sure it has its moments, just like any show, I guess I just like more story-driven anime more. XD

Well, you have to take it in doses, really. One episode of Bobobo a week is fun, but seven would make you lose your mind.

I've always wondered how they come up with all the stuff for that show. Do they just draw random words out of a hat and string them together?!

"First word: Hostage." "Second word: Ramen." "Third word: Excercise!" "Okay! So Don Patch takes something as a hostage, and demands that he should be allowed to eat his ramen noodles before the three minutes to cook are up! After which, he peels open the label of the ramen, and there are a bunch of little men excercising inside!!" "GENIUS!!"

It's funny just because it's absurd. Some of it is a bit too bizarre sometimes for my liking, (the duck underwear episode, for example) but for the most part, it makes me laugh, so I watch it every now and then.

When I first watched Bobobo, I thought I might have been tripping on somthing. When I realised I wasn't, I WANTED to be tripping on somthing, just to have it make a little more sense to me.
Bobobo, upon further investigation is enjoyable to me becuase its making extreme fun of "amime", and I LOVE making fun of anime.

I've actually seen an episode, and it's got a real Excel Saga/FLCL vibe to it. It's just crazy humor. Plus since the main character reminds me of Nabeshen in that they grab things out of their Afros.

Two words:

"SEASONING! SEASONING!"

The world of Bo is a mysterious place, full of magic and wonder. And it'[ll make your funny bone rupture faster than The Flash on speed (although it does get old fast...).

Are you sure your not a writer for that series? Because that was hilarious!:whee:

Anyways, You pretty much need to watch shows like that with an open mind...a very open mind...

thats also their special team attack in Jump Superstars. Also the strongest attack in the game. Yugi summons slifer and you just see most of the screen filled with the attack.

And dictionary definition of anime is an artistic style. So yea I woud call it anime. Though if you think about it it might be a parody of anime shows.

I like Bobobo, plus they have the BEST TRAIN FIGHT EVER. Better in manga though

I'll admit not having seen this anime. However I just heard that it is the silliest, craziest anime ever, an honor I thought would never be wrested from Excel Saga and Puni Puni Poemi. Is it really so?

Yugi? Fuggin Yugi? You kid me.

Anyway, I love the show. It's even whackier than Excel Saga (though with less actual jokes <.<), and I think Bobobo himself is awsome. :3 *likes afro's*

Fuck, Torpedo Girl. <.< Man, if she had said that line one more time I'd have to throw a brick at someone. Though the Over fight was probably my favorit, only because (dispite that ugly chin) Over was actually kinda cool. Giant magical glowing scizors as a weapon? Crazy, yes. But awsome at the same time. And he could form them from nothing, which was also cool.

Hehe, the entire thing's just too whacky to actually "discuss" in a viable way without mentioning utter madness that melts away at one's anger/frustration.

What's throwing me is, I can get hating bobobobobobobo-bo-bobobo-bobo-bobobobobobobobobobobobobobobobobo, if you like, but how's it not an anime?

I mean, it's a cartoon, drawn in japan. That's all the qualifications you need, right there.

Ah...but then we can start arguing what's a 'cartoon' and what's not. And trust me...I make a strong case of there being a difference. And no, the difference isn't Anime vs American art.

anime (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/anime) is not an animation done in Japan because I would rather be kicked in the balls then call Super Milk Chan an anime.

And he's right to have questioned it, because clearly Bo7 is not an amime.

Also, I look forward to watching the rest of the Halukalane story arc which I hope is just as crazy as it was in the Manga.
