They have very strange advertisements in Gaia.

The Family Guy reference is hilarious. :D

Also amusing is the fact that the poster has his NEW picture, yet lists his pre-class-change acts, which means White Mage was possibly the only one who didn't recognize him. :p

I must agree... a few kinda scary...

"The infamous GUARDSLAYER?"
Wow, BM seems to have really made a name for himself..
And that name is Mos 'Anted!
Too perfect!

And you just HAD to include John Smith, didn't you?

The questions still remains, who is the one who knew about ALL of those bad things that wants BM caught?

BTW, this thread is LATE!
20 lashings for you!

A griffin it's a reference to one of the greatest Family Guy jokes ever, notice the
pea and the tear

pea, tear, griffin

from "The Thin White Line" I believe

MFD

Nice subtle Usual Suspects reference, too. I wonder if Mos Anted played in a barbershop quartet down in Sokee, Illinois...

ronin256
06-27-2006, 12:40 AM
Also was Grathnar possibly a reference to X-Play's Splinter Cell Co-op Theater?

Hehe, Family Guy.

Nice Griffin too. Very spiffy.

Mos Anted sounds like a rapper or a hip-hop group

Damn me for never watching Family Guy...
The "No more Tears. EVER!" poster scares and make me thing of what exactly they do in the babysitting.

Family Guy reference? Almighty, I never thought...but...he...I...

I'd recognize that anywhere!

I can't tell if Black Mage is digging himself a deeper hole, or digging himself out. It's most difficult to tell!

Hm, but I don't think this is the first family guy reference.

Gedditoffme

Someone explain this to me:
WHY are those guards still alive?

Anyway, love the family guy joke: Love even more the fact that hardly anyone gets it :D

I dunno, I think the whole "black mage vs guards in a battle of wits" story arc is getting a bit old. And yet, deep in my heart I know that something so unbelievably funny will happen that it will make me retract that statement. Something awful is gonna happen to BM. His suffering will be so great that the suffering of others will be alleviated for a short time in order to maintain ballance in the universe.

Here's a question: Why is the Johnsmith poster the only one that's copyrighted? And why is it in that almost invisible script all over the poster?

venuspriestess
06-27-2006, 02:33 AM
ahahaha I thought almost no one was going to get the Family Guy reference, that was really great :) Yea, BM's name sounds like the rapper Mos Def, maybe he will have to rap at some point? *lol*

There's invisible copyright text on the Johnsmith poster? I see nothing on my end :(

jmrdex

People, the one who snitched on BM was the robot from "Episode 056: Hey, It's Almost Like the Plot is Moving Now!" After BM took the robots only freind the robot folowed the group and saw all of his horrific things.

Here's a question: Why is the Johnsmith poster the only one that's copyrighted? And why is it in that almost invisible script all over the poster?I would never have seen that. Insane. Although, I can't read what it says, I'm going to assume you're correct and say it says "copyright."

It's like an imprint in the poster. I can't even get close to reading individual letters.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

Scary, too, how every time someone makes a Family Guy reference I just happen to have seen the corresponding episode.

I can't see the hidden text on the Johnsmith poster looking right at it, but if I tip my laptop and look at it at an angle, I can see it. It either says copyright, or goodnight. Or something like that.

Nice one!

And please... Someone tell me you know why it's Mos Anted... He was looking at the Most Wanted poster at the time...

Mos Anted Most Wanted

See? He just took the "t" and the "w" out.

It's just that no-one said that, I thought you guys didn't notice it...

Nucleus
06-27-2006, 07:54 AM
Several of the replies clearly show that they understand Mos Anted, I believe. Some even joked about it.

You are just the first one who thought it needed explaining. :p

henke37
06-27-2006, 07:56 AM
The thing is that nothing was blocking his vision of the poster, that means he purposely skiped the t and w.

In other news, he's called Black Mage because that was the name of the class from the game.

Some things just don't need explanation.

Great comic Brian. Brain is Brian with the letters switched.

You know I hate to say this but I am more interested in seeing how the rest of the light warriors are doing on their quest now... and half hoping in 12 senses that they never find BM or even bother to try and find him again!

A spoof of a Family Guy spoof of Usual Suspects.

The brilliance of it is staggering.

Hats off on this episode, Brian!

I feel dirty posting this too, hope I'm not ruining your cred, but you've got http://www.baby-clipart.net/pages/crying_baby_clipart.html for the baby one. Can't find the peas though.

Guess we gotta get our images from somewhere eh? ;-)

I'm guessing those soldiers are very strong, as they have not been killed....

Come to think of it, doesn't BM still have a Hadoken availible?

Suffice to say, I think this interrogation subplot will end very suddenly :P

Can't wait 'til it does: I'd rather see if anyone's noticed BMs disappearance, or his continued reintegration into 'civilised society'.

It should be noted that many of those crimes mentioned in the poster were done before his class change, and White Mage couldn't recognise him, in his new outfit.

Meanwhile It would also give Black Mage a further excuse.

It's fun to watch how Black Mage tries to outsmart the guards. And fail sometimes.

It's like watching christians fight on who'll get to god first.
My bet's on the big one.

Getting back to the subject at hand, I'm guessing BM's not too far from Hadoken-ing the guards, and adding yet another couple of corpses to his guard slayer score. I wonder how many guards BM will kill before the comics end?

Ok, that's rude. And entirely unecessary. And rather against the rules. And makes no sense anyways.

Even if someone recognized the new BM, when did they get him to pose for the mug-portriat? It's a pretty good likeness for just an eye witness police sketch. Assuming, of course, that there was a surviving eye witness.

ROK hasn't seen BM's new look.

And also, when I saw that, the Family Guy bit didn't pop into my head. I was thinking Ozzy for some reason. And Brian, Can I find out? I DO have secret clearances....

It's pretty clear to me who is responsible for the wanted posters. It is obviously the work of the CIA(Cornerian Intelegence Agency), headed by none other than Length of String.

No, no.
He meant Length of String, an omniscient being who watches over politicial parties and showers them with roadside graffiti as he watches them fail miserably.
Personally, I'm voting for him in the next election.
