I have heard that they may be accepting scripts written by fans as foundations for actual episodes, were the show to return.

Here is another article about the 13 new show that we have to wait till 2008 for. The thing that I wonder is is there still going to be a direct to DVD movie still coming out? This has been in the works for a while now but it's kind of just dropped out of the news. If anyone has heard anything please link it.

This really isn't all that surprising. Ever since the direct-to-DVD movie was announced, a revival of the show was pretty much immenent. That's how Family Guy started it's comeback, with the d2dvd movie announcement.
