Remember Episode 67? When :fighter: said that it was an old man in a blue robe that conned him into thinking that the Armour of Invincibility was located in Giant's Forest? Are they ever going to find him so :bmage: can be a little bit happy? Or is it one of those things that will never be solved?

flare, unless this person has a golden chocobo, i doubt it was him because of the time required to get from corneria to the radio tower.. or a deathtrap/airship

No one ever said that the old man that told them that was in Corneria. It was merely implied, which does not make it true.

It was BM going back in time to steal all of Fighter's money so that he'd have a way to pay the rent for his shop in the future.
Which of course damned him in ways he's never been damned before.

I'm sorry, but I sincerely doubt that the old man in the radio tower was the old man who took Fighter's money. I mean, there's got to be any number of old men in blue robes out there.
And its BM's self-appointed mission in life to kill each & every one of them.

You're using commen sense. Stop it. Now.
If you would note, no one changes their clothes unless some GodDragonKing forces them to, and usually only after they get blasted out of existance.

Please do not derail the threads kthx.
And, guys, not to rain on your parade (that's shiney's job), but this "guy in blue robes" thing strikes me as a fairly miniscule detail. Even if it does have major plot significance, there's not much that can be said about it at this point - it could be it was a one-time joke, it could be the old man reappears but only much later, and it could be just about every character we've seen so far.
I mean, maybe it was Dr. Swordopolis possessing someone.
Or Black Mage's ordeal.
Or Raven in disguise, being a trickster god and all.
Or Cobblepot who built his cobbling shop with the money.
Or Cloud.
Or or or.
See where I'm going?

...to hell?
Really, I think most of us know that. For those of us who DON'T...well, they're what I call 'Expendable'.
But hey, it's still fun to toss around ideas and yell at people how their's is wrong and their mother hates them...

I typed that out in a fifteen minute break between lectures and subsequently spent half an hour thinking about how it could very well be Cobblepot. Irony abounds.

It would be HILARIOUS if it was Cobblepot who took the money!
Then when BM killed him, he would be getting revenge without even knowing it!

Naaah. Coblerpot was too far away. There is only one person we know that has been trickig ppl all around the world and who could be a very, very possible answer... Ackbar.
However, Meister is right, even if it has any significance we just can't tell who that old man was. Though I tend to think it could be Ackbar... "Ackbar's Adventure Tips-Not Going To Lead You To Places Where There's Nothing"
