One of the best free mmo's Ive seen, and even though the graphics are only 2D its still a great play.
Anyways any of you out there who know what im talking about post your mapleing expliots here. And for you unfortunante souls who don't, THIS (http://www.mapleglobal.com) is where you should be.
Enough said.
I played it a little...for like...2 days.
I like to play alone sometimes so I couldn't get much far(Magicians NEED a party to get far).
Fun game, nice Graphics even being 2D.

I enjoy it, but at a certain level you really need party members. Otherwise you're really roughing it to level up.
And being a lonely warrior is very difficult. Very very Difficult.
But it is fun and the 2d premise makes things interesting. There are even hidden stuff, like hitting "up" at a certain background item and warp to a secret area. Plus, you can get some wicked powers in this game, and ninja stars being sold and used like Arrows for thieves is pretty bad ass.

Nothing really captured my interest on this game. I played it for a while, when my friends said it was good...
But, it's really a test of patience in the end. Granted, this can be said about a lot of MMOs, but this one was particularly repetitive.
EDIT: One of the more annoying (though not necessarily biggest) wastes of time in the game is the need to constantly have "perfect stats". Stats are randomized at the start of the game, so you can expect this takes quite a chunk out of your schedule when you begin a new character.
No PvP, is another quirk that I dislike, but it would probably be extremely unbalanced if it were.

The grind, the GRIND!
Seriously, to get anywhere you have to train for fifteen hours straight. Maybe twelve, but only if you're good at killing high XP monsters.
IT's a fun game, but the grind seriously kills any high-level fun. >_>

The game is good until about level 7, then it goes sharply downhill. Things pick up again at level 10, but by 15 or so the grind really kicks in and kills most of the fun big-time. Don't even THINK about making the level 70 job advancement, it'll only make you weep.
And I played until level 31.:gonk:

You people talk of the grind and the NEED of a group. See, that's why there's other people on NPF who play.
I've had a lot of fun with the game playing with some of the other NPFers. We're all in the 30 levelish range and enjoying it.

We're all in the 30 levelish range and enjoying it.Except for those who've been lagging too much and haven't made it past 20. ;_;
So, yeah... Aside from the angsty emo-bitch of a server and the rather sketchy hitbox --> hitting system, I find myself rather liking Maple a good deal.

To be honest the downloading of the game was funner than the actual game itself. The oldschool style sprite graphics are really the only thing this game has going for itself.

I hate all MMORPGs that involve hours of endless leveling up.
This is no exception.

I am nice to everybody. At least, not if you know me enough to directly disprove that.
Any chance you're (or anyone else) on Brona?
