I can't get the comic to show up. It just takes me back to "the shoe that broke the mage's back".
EDIT:I got it to work. And I agree with RM too.

No, really, where's fighter?

Why do I see :wmage: being the one to die in this particular Fiend battle? Either way, her, RM, and Thief play excellently off each other comedy-wise, and Fighter meshes well with anyone. I'd be perfectly okay with it if BM was left out of the group for the rest of the story, really, as long as we kept getting shots of his dealing with customers in need of cobbling.

Sometimes things continue to exist in the universe even when you cannot see them. Fighter is one of those things.
I love the color change on red mage's hat while the powerpoint is running.

Ah, we know that not to be true. Everything in the universe must be observed in order for it to exist. I believe Pratchett taught us this. Anyway, why does no-one notice BM missing? Is it 'cause they're real apathetic?

I'd have to agree with RM on that one. Onrac sucks

Maybe BM is the kind of character who would just shut himself away from everybody for days at a time, so nobody is really worried about not having seen him. Eventually, though, theif might notice that people aren't getting stabbed nearly as often as they should. Maybe Fighter went looking for his best friend BM. It'd be fairly ironic if WM manages to get the group to help out and rebuild the town and/or shrine but then BM returns and his first action after rejoining the group is to destroy the (newly rebuilt) town.

"we know what must be done" "leave because it sucks?"
I do enjoy characters like that to no end. Really, I do. And compliments on the attention to detail concerning RM's hat.

I have a feeling that we won't see BM again until after the Light Warriors return from getting the Water orb.
And they will probably return to find BM lording over the town.
It's a pity that we won't see BM and WM together during this trip, considering the spritsheets with WM in a swimsuit.
frankly i'd like to think that by the time they return bm will have built an evil-cobbling empire of evil cobblers
and then sarda messes it all up for him ^_____^

I think "leave now because it sucks" is my new favorite catchphrase. The ever-popular "that's what she said" drops to second place.
Is it just me, or do I spell another BM blatent and lame movie line rip-off? It's something we haven't seen in a while. Shield your eyes if you must.
IT'S COBBLIN' TIME!
You were warned.

First, I submit that "I put together a powerword: Point presentation prioritizing the action items for this particular project." is a blatant and willful use of alliteration. Can't remember the last time Brian used that kind of gag, but I must say, I like it.
However, what I really want to ask everyone is:
Does anyone see a slight shift going on in the story ever since WM has shown up?
The pace of the comic has quickened, and as opposed to before, and with the visit to the Inn, I'm starting to feel like the comic is going back to it's roots. (In the beginning of the comic, there were lots of towns that were visited, but this gradually gave way to mostly wilderness and ruin type settings. Now we are moving back to civilization more and more. I mean, they are spending a night in an Inn. It's practically a cliche. (Even within the comic. XD )) , and that WM just might be the catalyst that actually turns the group... decent.
Or not. If nothing else, I truly respect Brian's literary (even in comic form) muscles.

It seems that when those fools go out to leave, Fighter will have already taken the ship, since he is the only one that does care about BM. Then Thief and RM will be force to go with WM's plan while Fighter crashes the Death Trap into BM's shop.
Okay, prediction over with.
Besides, my prediction could go horribly wrong, seeing WM's plan is actually to get BM back over there and use him to clean up the filth in society, and use Fighter to sheild them from propaganda and sublimital advertising.
Or umm... yeah I think I'll shut up now.

Actually it's a proliferation of alliteration (assonance, omg!). Onomotopea is nature noises put into textual form, like the word boom or the noise creak or the sound knife-inna-head.

Yeah it isn't like he's Schrodinger's cat or anything.
Or is he?
I like how WM's pressence effects the group. Just wondering at what point WM will be enlightened to their bad habits. (Maybe the next time they hit a dwarf town?)

We actually saw night before, but they did use tents then. Incidentally right after the Armoire fell on Fighter and Red Mage made a "Schrödinger's Fighter" quip.

Yes, and now everytime people fail to see Fighter, they begin to wonder if he's dead or not.

You know, if Thief and Red Mage had been a little more righteous, would they still say, "Leave because this place sucks"? I'm just wondering, you know. Considering how Red Mage went into a full and useful explanation for a simple answer.

I suppose the next demon the lite warriors must face is Leviathan? Never played ff, so I don't exactly know ...
I, too, assume Fighter is the only one actively looking for Black Mage. The rest probably assumes he's sulking or hiding in the deathtrap and that he'll come along when he gets hungry or something. ... Fools.
White Mage is actually making the group efficient. The Deathtrap lands without a hitch, Red Mage gives a useful display of information ... It makes you think. If the Lite Warriors' style of adventuring is determined by their current membership, Black Mage's devotion to entropy and destruction might be held responsible for all those times they crashed and horrible things happened to them. After all, they are - somehow - warriors of destiny. What if they're making their own by their very natures? What if their proper destiny was cheated when White Mage was originally voted off the team and it is only now starting to follow its correct course? Or this speculation could be utter claptrap.
As for Black Mage; I wonder if that old woman isn't somehow sent by Sarda. Just to force Black Mage out of his chosen life and back into service, y'know?

I loved the Powerword: Point presentation. I only wish I got to see BM in this comic.
Also, I saw those nasty pizza sandwhiches at my 7-11. I don't think I've seen anyone eat them, though. It would make more sense for 7-11 to sell actual pizza... >_>

The way the comic's changed seems to be that without Black Mage, the ship no longer crashes because it only crashed to harm Black Mage. And nothing bad can happen to WM because she's like Yuna or something.
And Now, instead of Fighter and RM being the comedic foil in the plans of our light warriors, Now it's WM having to deal with the lazyness of the other 3 light warriors.
In other words, the comic normally goes like this:
Fighter/RM: STUPID STUFF
BM: Hate you!
whereas now it goes
FIGHTER/RM/Thief: Lazy jerkness!
WM: Bad heroes, BAD!

Oooh, I just thought of something. The orb might be inside the shrine. O.o Making it an actually shrine with an actual artifact.

This arc has been awesome so far.

Heh yea what tipped you off the fact the "Powerword:Point" project mentioned it exclusively or maybe because an underwater shrine is the perfect place for a water orb <.< . Anyways I love the new direction the comic took. "No I think he's right." Is the best line iv seen in a while. XD

I think that the light warriors realize that BM's gone, but they'd rather not talk about it, on the off chance that the universe hasn't noticed, yet.
Also, did anyone else notice that RM is reflecting light that his shadow isn't covering up? (e.g. his feather is blue, but his shadow isn't tall enough to reflect the water?)

Yeah it isn't like he's Schrodinger's cat or anything.
Or is he?
Both, until we can confirm one or the other.
I believe, in BM's absence, it should be smooth sailing for the LWs, because, as Brian has said before, everything exists to hurt BM. Therefore, where BM isn't, nothing bad ever happens. Ever. Everyone seems to be getting along better without BM, too. Hell, without him, we might actually have a non-dysfunctional group on our hands.
But we can't have that, can we?

"Powerword: Point" presentations replace "powerpoint" presentations in this world, huh? Yeah, that's genius. xD
And, doth my wits decieve me or is White mage going to coerce the "not so bright" light warriors into doing something actually heroic?

Oooh, I just thought of something. The orb might be inside the shrine. O.o Making it an actually shrine with an actual artifact.
Of course it's in the shrine. In FFI the Sunken Shrine is the dungeon where the LWs return the light to the water crystal. Same goes for ZGurgu and the Fire Crystal. Only Crystal that wasn't found where it should be was the Ground Crystal, which was probably foud in the town of Melmond (although it looked better than in the game).

Dead parents, dead boyfriend, and what ending did you get your first playthrough of FFX-2? I'm guessing it wasn't the 60 calibur one.
*DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA*
Even if they do resolve to help the town out they can't breath underwater, only BM knew about the fairy in the oasis shop, or he would have if he wasn't so self centered.

Why do so many people reply as if RM's hat has changed? It hasn't, it's just the powerword: point presentation is being projected on to the wall behind RM and he's standing in the way of the Sunbeam spell being shot through the Silent Image spell acting as a rudiemtary Overhead-Projector. The image is being projected slightly onto his head.
Also, Powerword: Point is frigging genious. I wonder if there are any more spells emulating Microsoft Office applications...
