And yes I know this is probably a one-time joke, but I've seen people say the same thing about the "Forbidden" Episode.

Think of it this way. If Thief was going to sell them out. he would have done it back in Elfland.

He knew he could make some money from both Black belt and Black mage.

Ah, I see. Well, I'm just gonna wait until other people post, and read their opinions. Hmmm.

Think of it this way. What if Thief already HAS betrayed them, but we just don't know about it yet? That, I think, is a perfect way to look at Thief's actions. He does something early, and it takes effect whenever he wants it to.

Yes, I know. I'm too suspicious for my own good. :sweatdrop

Look at it this way, Thief didn't have BB or WM under contract. As such, they are random elements, which are a potential threat. Thief recording BB's weakness is just precautionary.

And while Thief might betray the other Light Warriors for his own benefit, if there's no benefit to be gained, he's fairly happy keeping things the way they are now.

The answer lies in episodes 198 and afterwards. ;)
Thief exposed BB's weakness to BM so he could slip into WM tent undetected. For a price, of course...

He later found out BB's ultimate weakness: SWORDS!

I have to agree with those who said Thief will betray them if it proves to be more beneficial to him than otherwise.

He was just covering his bases.

Not really. He needs them as meat-shields and attackers. In other words, they do the job, they take the damage, he wins.

I think you're all putting too much of a "24" twist on this. It's in Thief's best interest to remain part of the team because without them he wouldn't have run into as many opportunities as he has.

Think back to the very beginning, at the light warrior recruitment line. Thief wouldn't have been able to pickpocket so many civilians. Also, the airship seems to be his only means of travel at the moment. He couldn't have built it all by himself, much less piloted it.

All through the series, Thief has needed the other LWs and they've needed him. I don't think we'll be seeing any defections any time soon.

Yeah. After all, he legally has complete control over the group, why would he want to give this up?

Well, the only motivation I can think of that would make Thief to betray the group would be to protect his family and his kingdom, which, thus far, are the only things he's been shown to care about more than money.

If his father was put into danger and he would absolutely betray the other Light Warriors for the power to save him or protect him.

Nah. I can easily find a reason to kill them all.

Since he's like a legal guardian (he contractually owns them), he can put large amounts of insurance on them. Kill them, collect insurance.

I don't know. I think he only uses his supposed homeland loyalty to make up reasons to kill. If his kingdom were actually threatened, I doubt he'd return to fight in battle.

Well, maybe not his kingdom, but definitely his father, knowing what Thief did in order to cure him.

Thief may be twisted, but not THAT twisted!

HE knows he can get so much more having them work for him!
Its amazing how much G monsters carry around
Its even more amazing monsters ARE carrying it around anyway!
