Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. If you have a DS, do yourself a favor and track down a copy of this game, by any means necessary. www.gamestop.com is a good option, as it's how I found the game, by using the store locator option.

As you might have surmised by the game's title (and assuming you haven't heard of it), it's a game about being a defense attorney. That being said... I don't think I've had this much fun with a game in years. I don't know what exactly is so exhilirating and visceral about ripping a person's testimony to shreds. I think part of it is that some of the situations you find yourself in are so hopeless, and the testimony you're up against seems so solid, that you feel extremely good about yourself when you manage to turn the tides on the prosecution (a group who, as you'll find out, is corrupt to the core in this game).

Of course, the game would be horrible if it weren't for a well-written script, and on that note, the game doesn't take itself TOO seriously -- many comedic sequences present themselves, such as the TV director who speaks in internet acronyms, L337, and smiley faces, to a chief of police who's always clapping like an excited child and asking if you've been swimming recently, to the part mentioned in the topic title (yes, you do have to cross-examine a parrot at one point...). However, somehow, it all manages to work, and the game just feels amazing as you progress through it.

Anyone else have this game? If so, what are your thoughts on it? What about highlights from the game?

Yes. I do have this game. In fact, it's the reason I bought a DS.

And yes, it is a delight. I particularly enjoyed the fourth case (out of five).

Yes, I loved the ending of the fourth case. Watching Von Karma get completely served nearly brought a tear to my eye.

Currently on case five, day three. About to go into the court room section...

And I've already pre-ordered Justice for All.
