Well, today (or so) gamespot uploaded the first Supreme Commander trailer.

For those of you who don't know, SupCom is the brain child of Chris Taylor who developed one of the best RTS games ever made, Total Annihilation. This time, the game has an actual story line, three different sides and promises to put back what has been missing in all RTS games up till now: Strategy.

I'm shocked at how good the game looks and how the sense of scaling works so well. The only problem I have is that I fear I'll end up buying a new computer for it.

I need to start saving money for a new computer...between this and Spore, I'm going to need it.

To get a sense of the scaling, one of the main battle tanks for the terran forces is a giant, hulking behemoth. 80 tons, dual turrets, everything.

Now their battleship's AA guns are as large as this tank.

Beat all three missions. A bit disappointed that the unit addition proccess is so slow, but it was a fun play.

Shoot'em + Strat = No Good. I don't really care for shoot'ems.

It's a great game, but I don't like the way that the person with more builders ALWAYS seems to win. Because builders supporting a production building makes the units/researches/etc build faster.

I saw a guy with over 250 builders. He nuked EVERYTHING because he got about 3 nukes a second.:sweatdrop

But that makes sense.

Logically, the person that can build the fastest will always (okay, not always) amass a greater force.

250 Engineers on a single building..... that's..... excessive.
