It's art that has a message. I like it. Very topical.

This one works. Last one didn't have me laughing. This one got a few chuckles out.
I mean, come on "Art that groans in agony?"
ALso, it's HAMMAHTIME!

Hah! I knew that Black Mage would not actually kill her. That was a brief but funny episode. Murder art! He's obviously the same Black Mage, and has proved it by murdering innocent citizens while in White Mage's presence or at least under the witness of White Mage at the end of the murders.

Wow, and here I thought he was going to accadently run at WM, knife drawn.
And I'm surprised that WM didn't reconize him at first. I wonder what she'll think of the others.

I'm so disappointed. I really wanted to see White Mage vs Black Mage. Still, I like the art angle. It's such a Black Mage answer, and it's time for Black Mage to either run, or go "den de-den de-den".

I'm very surprised that white mage would talk like that to someone she didn't know (she didn't know it was BM). She has changed.

Well, art needs to come to life...
Or slowly stray from it's life...
Anyways, can't wait to see White Mage's actions. And then Black Mage learning it.

What's great is that, unlike modern art, this art has a message. Oh course, I don't think people can live long enough to hear it, but the message is there.
Also, I like how BM is so fixated on death that when he tries to think of what he is doing all he can think is just "murder". And WM's clown comment. Wow, great episode.
And then Black Mage learning it.
Black Mage can't learn a move from WM, because she isn't a fragment of Chaos. And before you say it, Sarda probably just engineered the spell so BM would learn it and try to cast it on him.

But it was said here (http://www.nuklearpower.com/daily.php?date=060216) that the only reason he didn't learn Red Mage's Ice Spell was that he failed to survive it. Ergo, everything is apparently a piece of chaos.

BM survived that. Darko was just explaining that he is immune to nothing (I mean, a stiff breeze could...)

RM just isn't a peice of Chaos, thus BM didn't learn his attack.

That was great, "art that moans", BM detailing the message behind it, WM's face in the last panel, been a while since a comic made me laugh out loud. I also wait with bated breath for her reactions to the others more dignified costumes.
"So BM's the only one who looks like a clown" -WM
"Yeah" -Thief and/or RM
"I'M NOT A CLOWN!" -BM
"I like clowns" -Fighter
STABBBITY then HAMMER TIME
or something along those lines.

This one was very fuuny. No idea why though. Oh well.
If WM fights BM again, BM will just end up flying toward a wall. If BM really wanted to kill WM, it would be pretty easy as almost all her spells are healing, and coulden't help her that much agienst BM.

I'd forgotten about that one... But that's in a sort of gray area. He survives the ice itself but is immobilized by it, then gets his arm chopped off by Darth Fighter and subsequently "dies". So perhaps Mag... Er, perhaps BM was lied to, or simply didn't get the full explanation about his Blue Mage-in' abilities?
And as for today's comic... It's a wonderful relief to finally see "Angry Eyes" WM again. Let the uber-deadly hammering and general beatings begin!!:whee:

"Now its time for murder" just doesn't sound like BM. I can't imagine him, or anyone for that matter, using that line just before knifing someone in the gut.

Zak, I noticed that mistake too. ;)
But the best aspect of this one is the title, because in "reality" they are Final Fantasy characters that are programmed...in the computer sense, that is.
So now the strip has forayed into the realm of existentialism?
Awesome.
...Just who's playing it, anyway? Same dudes from RPG World? (c'mon Ian... please come back...)

Black Mage is the only guy who can go back on something he said that kept him out of trouble in order to screw himself. On another note I wonder how White Mage will take the class changes or if we're gonna get another comic about BM looking like a clown.

I think that WM just hates clowns, so that is why she is talking like that.

I'm man enough to admit I was wrong about it not being WM.
However, some other people thought he would bumrush her, so I guess we are all surprised again.
But this does mean that WM is still aware that BM is as horrible a person as ever.
I wonder what she'll think of the class change. Or if she'll have anything to say about Bahamut for that matter.
So, is she going to join our 'heros', or what?
The Wandering God
EDIT: I also just got the line, "It would be a lateral move." XD
Art-schmart. I'm still waiting for some Class-Changed Pick-Up Lines, and Hammer Time. BTW, did anyone notice the lack of a shadow on BM's "touche" text bubble?

That sounds so sick & wrong.
I mean given the Blambot fonts Brian uses, it wouldn't suprise me if there is no é available. And even if one does exist, character map isn't always something you think of when you need a é. And practically everyone's forgotten that alt 642 gets you a é. (Not on the forums though, you need some sort of Word Processing program).

I dont think BM will learn healing spells such at Sardas, Red Mages or White Mages, seeing as white magic follows order not chaos

So, looks like BM's in for even more pain. He never gets a break anymore.
I also wonder how White Mage will react if she heard about Red Mage's "experiments" on that island? I mean, she seems as appalled as ever at BM's handiwork right now, so I imagine she'd be downright sickened when she heard about Red Mage gene-splicing a bunch of Chocobo into crimes against nature in his attempts to get them off the island...and watching them mate for no reason...
Also, unrelated to the comic, but I just realized: "Kurosen" is japanese for "Black Mage", isn't it? I know Kuro = Black at least...

Me, I just go to Wikipedia and start editing articles when I need special characters. But the normal swedish keyboard comes with some nifty characters; Ĺ Ä Ö ¨ ^ ` ´ and yeah that's about it. Feel free to copy and paste as needed. :)
Now this strip. . . yeah it's funny. BM is like Homer Simpson sometimes, "I think I'll. . . go out. . . and stalk. . . Lenny and Carl." 9_9

I like to think that all magic is a part of chaos, if not part of the nefarious king of chaos, but the nature and term of chaos itself. All magic is change and is a strange force manipulated by mere will and, in certain cases, words. Magic cannot be touched and cannot be changed by anything physical, and can only be turned by other magicks. Magic is like light -- flowing right through, affected by no touch, affected by nothing but certain properties such as the source and what it reflects off of, what absorbs it, and what nullifies it. It's a matter of matter and magic, rather than the matter of tactic to change magic.

You are correct. "Kurosen" does essentially translate to "Black Mage". Furthermore, "Mashirosen" translates to "White Mage".
There you go, you damn fanboys. BM and WM together at last. Now shut up already.... Thumbs up!

Or is this one of the logical things sacrificed for comedy?

Well, I think this was a good comic to come back to the forums for, no?
I doubt that WM'll have anything except Holy Flare to teach BM. Who knows, maybe that'll be the final move BM has to do to Chaos to defeat him?

BM didn't kill anyone. Instead, he merely stabbed them until they were physically paralyzed and moved them out of plain sight. It's like two different worlds, really.

"It's a commentary. On how townsfolk need to stop walking up to me with all their petty little problems an learn how to take care of their own lives or else end up murdured and stuffed in a blue door in a random alley..."
Well, same ol' BM, through and through.

1: I miss the 'smart' BM who actually made an ATTEMPT to lie to WM to get her to fall in love with him instead of randomly spewing things that will get his reproductive organs introduced to her hammer.
2: I do believe that we're gonna see WM's hammer re-acquainting itself with BM's reproductive organs. By which I mean WM is gonna hammer him where it hurts most, if you didn't catch that.
3. I am so glad I am not BM right now.
4. I do believe that RM and WM's Hammer will be introduced soon.
5. HILARIOUS!

You mean this one? (http://www.nuklearpower.com/daily.php?date=010505)
Or perhaps this one, from the very next panel? (http://www.nuklearpower.com/daily.php?date=010506)
I think that may be two misconceptions I've ruined in as many weeks.

I thought I saw episode 999 when I came here one day. Clevenger must be lazy or something... or just hid them all until he got a reasonable plot for #1000.
