What is it about 8-Bit Theatre that makes you people come back again and again? For me, its the sheer stupidity of the characters and comedy that ensues.

For me, it's the general lack of actual drawing, made up for by the fantastic/horrifying dialogue and mad photoshop(?) skillz - I think we can all agree on the awesomeness of the HADOYASTOPTHIS?! effect.
Anyone can pick up a pen and draw, like Dave over at Bobandgeorge (*cough*), but it takes a good script to keep a sprite comic going.
To me, a webcomic is different from a regular comic - and the all (well, virtually all) sprite comic is a pure form of webcomic. Plus, it's open to satire/parody (one of which is legal in the US, I think)...

For me, it's because of the fact that it's fun. It's just that.Although, Brian's photoshop skills own and it's really interesting to see what a photoshop expert can do.

Do you honestly need to ask?
8-Bit Theatre teaches the tolerant younger audience many fascinating -- if not unusual -- things. The hilarity that it uses to appeal to every audience is irresistable, the violence that is seen from time to time is adorably awesome, and the plotline and events that follow it are of the manners of nothing but sheer attraction to viewers worldwide. Or at least people who can read and understand English. The characters are fun to follow through, the bending of reality is just too dang funny to miss out on, and the killing? Ten outta ten!

What do I like about 8-bit theater? One thing; it's funny as Hell. It was funny when it started, it was funny when I started reading it, and it's funny now. The reason it works so well is because it doesn't (as far as I can tell) try to appeal to everyone in existence. See, this is why I don't read newspaper comics anymore; they assume you're as dumb as a gnat, trying to appeal to the lowest common denominator. Not 8-bit Theater though. Sure, you have to be an RPG fanatic to get it, but if you're well-versed at roleplaying games, be they pen-and-paper, videogame or online RPGs, you're guaranteed to love 8-bit Theater, 'cause it's the greatest parody of RPGs that I know of. Who needs fancy artwork when you've got the shenanigans of the Light Warriors to captivate an audience?
By the way, in case you can't tell, I'm totally kissing Brian's ass. Figuratively, mind you. Aside to Brian AKA Kurosen: YOU'RE A GENIUS!

What I like is that it's just...I'm not sure how to describe it. It just has this...something...that makes it awesome. I guess it's probably the character interaction and the characters themselves. Black Mage's insanity and utter lack of morals. Thief's holier-than-thou attitude and lack of morals. Red Mage's...Red Mage-ness and sort-of lack of morals (I'm sensing a pattern here...). Fighter's naivety and lack of m-...wait, he has morals. Well you get the point.
This is the reason why 8BT is one of my favorite, if not my favorite, sprite comics (I'm not totally sure if I like 8BT or Bob and George more).
For every action, there is usually very painful (to Black Mage) hilarity following it.
The characters. Each has a personal trait and although they haven't changed much, there is somehting deeper about them.

Ah yes, "bending reality". I'd forgotten that one. Yes, you gotta love a character who can break the laws of physics on a fairly regular basis. ...Which reminds me: will we ever see a Nuklear Power/Nuklear Age crossover? A Nukie sprite would just rock...

I love the pure ability to make me laugh time and time again whenever i read it, out loud or not
Sometimes i read it out loud to my bro
He laughs just as hard as me
Thank you Brian for 8-bit theater

I like it because of the fact the light wariors together have NEVER been smart enough to kill an enemy

Yeah well, the HADOYASTOPTHIS?! effect is different depending on your view. Then again, if you look at these few lines, you could swear I was being ironic intentionally.
Wait, did that just come out loud? Erm. Nevermind that, what really makes me come back? I would swear to mi diosa that it would have to be everything about it (besides everything that is) but then again we could say it's the stupidity of SOME of the characters... or we could say it was because it's just the 8-Bitness that envelopes our very souls... I say it's basically all of it.

What does it for me? Well.. if you can't already tell just by looking at anything I post, it's Fighter. I never thought it was possible to have comic relief in a funny comic until I saw Fighter. Fighter's crazy antics (most of the time involving sword-chucks) just drag me back for more... but fighter hasn't been in the last few comics. =( Nevertheless, as long as he isn't Blackbelt, I know there's still a chance of Fighter being there... whether it's to say something stupid, or kick some uber ass with his multiple swords!! Oh, and if there's anything that will ever drive me towards 8-Bit more... it would be the fact that... wait.. what was I saying? OH! I like swords... *BM stabs Ipsofacto in the head* ..ow..
