Two questions: One:
Am I going crazy? Because I could not for the life of me find this link on the front page http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3423935674619182066&q=spore
Two:
Why was the Spore thread closed? :\

Threads are normally closed at around 60 posts here. As you can see, the spore thread was waaaaay beyond that. Because its sooooo awesome. 2007 can't come soon enough >.<
Spore: The game that makes you wish your life away.
It was kinda cool to see how easy it was to jump right into it. I swear to god though, I will annihilate any and all penis creatures. It will be total war.

The editor looked really friendly, yeah. Obviously still a few little glitches to get out...Not that I'm looking down on that, the game's what, 7 months from release?
The coolest thought I got out of all that (The first 23 minutes was in another video already released a week ago, so I skipped most of the video) was wondering if I've pwned, or been pwned by, Robin Williams on COD, CS, BF2, etc...
Hehehe, that would be so cool!

So...I'm a little confused on Spore. Does it happen live with everyone, a la a MMORPG, or does the game download information on other people's worlds, and apply to you're own personal game?
For example, let's say my little race builds an UFO and flys over to Azisien's world. Would this only happen in my game, or would Azisien be seeing my UFO hover over his world?

Your latter first statement is correct. Spore is a single player game. You do not play with multiple users.
What the game does with people who have Internet connections is greatly expand the possible database of creatures and such by downloading content from the Internet that was created by other players. Think of it as automatic, self-sufficient, free game content as long as you have an Internet connection (and you do, otherwise I must know how you post here!).

I believe creatures you download into your database can be reviewed and rated too. That way, if hundreds of thousands of people downvote the "penis" creature, then there is a tiny chance of anybody else downloading it. Or something like that.
Plus, creatures from your database are placed into various worlds based on what the ecosystem needs, which is very cool.

Dang...that's what I hoped it would do.
I have got to get a computer that can run this.

Robin Williams and Spore pardon me while I quote Azisien:
Oh my, there seems to be some sticky fluid in my underpants.
:gonk: My favorite comedian playing a game that is also my favorite unreleased game so far (TP taking a close second). Also thanks for linking the video I've been hoping someone would be posting a video of the E3 Spore footage.
