By now all of you have probably seen and/or heard about Supaida-Man. If you haven't, gather 'round the moniter and I'll tell you about it. Back in 1978, Marvel made a deal with Toei for it to use Marvel's very popular hero, Spider-Man. Unfortunately, Toei got a little......creative and decided to revamp the character for japanese serialization. The result? Spider-Man is a motorcycle racer, gets his powers from aliens, shouts out "Web Net" every time he webs somebody, and pilots a giant mech. I'm not making this up
The point of this is to show that while America may butcher all my favorite anime, it's not like Japan treats our favorite heroes with the utmost respect. Don't get me wrong, I love catoons from Japan. I love cartoons from America too, TMNT being the first cartoon that I really loved. But then I saw something that just completely raped my childhood. In the butt.
