Four Fiend Speculation

I apologize if this thread has already been done to death, but I didn't see it, so I made it. :p

Someone mentioned the 'revenge' Lich and Kary might want to take upon BM in a recent thread, and that got me thinking that... logically, Kary should have little to no interest in vengeance on BM. Lich, certainly.

So, who might they logically want vengeance on? (Light Warriors have been highlighted for convenience)

Lich-
-BM- Final defeat
-Thief- STOLE HIS SOUL!
-Fighter- Fought eagerly
-RM- Orchestrated, but otherwise uninvolved.
-WM/BB- Distant/Uninvolved

Kary-
-WM- Final Defeat
-RM- Eternally froze her.
-Fighter- Fought eagerly
-Thief- Stole the Orb.
-BM- Bitched in a back corner, mostly uninvolved.
-BB- Dead. Get over it.

So, who next? My prediction, Fighter the most hated by Kraken and Thief by Tiamat. Mostly because Tiamat's a dragon, and we all saw how Thief treated Bahamut.

You wouldn't, perchance, have been referring to this post, would you?

Lich is Hell-King now, remember? And Kary is there too. Even if Black Mage does now have the almighty "Inna Nerts!", I'm pretty sure it's still "Lich and Kary >> :bmage:". So all he'd be doing would be giving them the perfect opportunity to exact revenge upon him.

:sweatdrop In retrospect, I suppose Kary wouldn't have any particular reason to want revenge on BM, other than him being part of the group that killed her... ah well.

I can definitely see Thief doing something to Tiamat similar to what he did to Bahamut, so I'd imagine that'd move Thief right to the top of her revenge list.

As for Kraken, I dunno, somehow I think Red Mage will be the one who gets the most hate from him, not sure why though.

The way I figure it, the one who earns the most ire from each respective fiend will be the one to square off against them in an inevitable final (ultimate)showdown.

So, do you think Fighter may have earned Kary's enmity more than RM? I suppose there was the whole "I can kill anyone" "Nuh uh!" interplay there...

I figured RM, the ice caster, would be more Kary's opposite than Fighter. I can see it both ways, though...

Yeah makes sense, and didn't you have to fight all the fiends again at the end of FF1? Can't remember.

That will be an interesting fight. The LW in FF1 fought all the fiends separatly. But if they are all gathering in Hell, and if I know Brian's handywork well enough, they might attack all at once. That would give the LW of 8BT a severe disadvantage. But this is Brian's comic, so they'll win somehow. Like Sarda whining and suddenly killing off the fiends for them.

Sarda? Helping? You're absolutely insane, sir paladin. But as to the fiend battles...Greed's pair-offs seem logical, and knowing Black Mage as we do, he will Hadoken Lich into itty bitty pieces, and re-absorb all of his lost powers as Hell King. Once he is once again the Hell King, Chaos will learn that Black Mage may have been, perhaps, too evilly perfect.

I see a pattern here.

Theif steals the orb, and Fighter fights eagerly. One of the Mages delivers the final blow.

Technically, WM had the final blow for Kary. RM gets next Fiend.

All I can say is that if one of the two remaining fiends is not a wigger, the world is not complete.

Seriously though, I don't see the fiends attacking as a group. If they do, one will accidently hit another and this will lead to them all foolishly wiping each other out.
