View Full Version : Avatar Arena: PyrosNine vs. Kneumatic Pnight

Raiden

The two fighters stood within their arena. The place they're fighting at is filled with crags, dead trees, and briar patches. The sky is a harsh dusk, and vents of sulferous steam shoots out from the crags in the ground.

Somewhere FAR off to the distance, Raiden is sitting watching the fight, while Rhiya is standing on his head for some reason. She was a sports finger and is waving a small flag.

(This is the Barren Wasteland arena. PyrosNine won Arena Advantage. The arena is filled with dry flammable plants and objects.)

A lone bush burst into flame, and from the bursting flame burst Pyrosnine. He landed on the field, holding the CCG over his shoulder like a childs toy. Standing upright, he surveyed the wasteland. If he was not mistaken, he may have had a hand in it's creation with one of his previous duels, but cared not. A wasteland was a wasteland, and that was all there was to it. All that mattered was the impending fight.

And Pyros was fighting with ... a CCG. He held up in front of him to inspect it further. Now he could make out the Chainsaw part, even the club part, and the trigger screamed "gun" to him. But for the life of him he knew not how it worked. He wondered if he'd have some time to become learned in it's use, but that was not likely, given the timing of these sort of things. He'd either have to learn to use it on the go, or just go with what he already knew and bean his opponent over the head with it repeatedly.

Sigh...if only one of his weapons had been in the weapon pile....but odds are they wouldn't have given it to him.

Well, his opponent wasn't here yet, so he calmly sat down and waited, running his hands through his hair. "Hmm...wonder who I'm up against? Hope it'll be fun..."

The Kneumatic Pnight

KP strode confidently into the arena with the confidence of... well, some manner of confident thing, one would presume. The sandy earth, desiccated and broken, ground ominously beneath his footfalls, eliciting a soft crunching sound. A bleak, raspy breeze flitted ethereally over the acheronian landscape, catching momentarily on KP's ashen hair and drab, grey overcoat. Here, beneath the dusky sky, even the air seemed dead.

As his steel eyes scanned the zone of desolation, KP's thoughts first went to erecting some manner of geothermal plant here, but quickly turned to the battle at hand when he noticed, again, the grip of the odd Laser Tennis Racket in his hand. He hefted it a bit, enjoying the odd forboding feel of the sanguine light it pulsed with as he stepped through a screen of sulfurous gas.

At the other side of the miasma, KP got his first clear view of his opponent, and realized how worthless the thing was.

So, it's Pyrosnine, KP thought as his right hand shimmered and expanded into an argent fluid that engulfed the tennis racket, extinguishing the crimson light. This may be harder than I expected. As KP's hand returned to normal, devoid of tennis racket, KP shifted his weight a bit, brought his left hand up absently to his sharpish chin, and let his gaze unfocus a bit as he called up anything he could use on Pyrosnine.

PyrosNine stood up at KP's arrival. <Hmm....this'll be interesting. I may actually have to work on my descriptive imagery in this fight.>

Pyros held the CCG over his shoulder, and faced the Kneumatic Pnight. "So you're my opponent, eh? Hmm...you and I haven't crossed paths much. But I do understand you're some sort of tiny-robot-death-thing. Just curious to how you felt about that."

Pyros smiled. Even if they were about to beat the everliving crap out of each other, a little understanding of one another was always good. Especially if it gave them both an inkling of how to win the fight.

Impatient for Kp's Answer, Pyros attacked:

PYROS VS KP Victory

Pyros created a spirit sword made up of the flame, and charged the Kneumatic Pnight in impatience. The distance between the two was gone in less than 3 seconds, and KP found Pyros on the ground before him before he even knew what was going on. Pyros sweeped KP's feet out from under him.

Pyros then grabbed KP by his waist and hurled him straight up into the air, a good 20 feet. Pyros flipped backwards to his feet, then backflipped further. When KP neared the peak of his height, Pyros readied the flame manifested sword.

"Here I GO!" Pyros spun himself with another grand leg sweep, then leapt into the air. He overshot the still rising KP, and then put in the combo.

-> -> X (Flame Sweep) + /\ > < \/ X+O (Braver) = "BURST BRAVER!"

Pyros became surrounded by flame and shot towards KP at almost blurring speeds, sword out. KP had just reached the peak of his flight and was just about to be pulled by gravity. But before he could do so, Pyros's sunk in his blade, weighing it down on KP with his own body and the force of the flamesweep still behind him, driving KP down towards the ground faster than he had gone up.

KP's head hit the wasteland's earth, and then KRACKOOM! The earth quaked and the explosion thundered all throughout the Wasteland, shockwaves igniting the hazardous materials.

"HE WHO SMELT IT, DEALT IT!" Pyros roared, holding KP's beaten and battered body. If anyone had paid close attention to his eyes, they would have seen them to be blue. As in the blue screen of death.

Impatiently, Pyros decided to end this quickly. With three quick handsignals, he prepared his attack. "Let's get it on!"

KP found himself surrounded. They were everywhere, coming. He could not run. He could not hide. So great were their numbers that their foot falls sounded like a herd of elephants, and the wasteland shook. He swam in their sea of bodies, unable to break free, and they crashed upon him like a mighty wave. He was seized from all sides, grabbing hands binding his arms and legs to a all encompassing chair, that seemed to suck him in. Try as he might, he could not move, could not face these massive numbers.

They held with them strange and exotic devices, various liquids and obscure texts, all of which had a strange smell that sought to enslave his mind, which could not prevent their entry, entrapped as he was. He knew not what they wished to do with him, nor what he could do against them, but he remained silent as their leader emerged from the group. The leader was noticeably different, and wore an elaborate hairpiece that signified authority.

"Why...hello stranger." The Lead Asheth of a horde of Asheths sultrily smiled.

KP was aghast.

Pyros transformed with a with a breath,

KP saw the glowing Nine Tails, and watched as they made their mystical dance, a continuous pattern that showed life, time, and what you wish to be.

Kyuubi's piercing eyes glowed bright blue.

So it was a cheap victory. But a victory's a victory, no matter what Sun Tzu says.
