Come on, someone here has got to have heard of it. Hopefully someone who hasn't seen the American version.

Sidenote: the latest opening song is incredibly awesome, when compared to the last ones... including Chikyuuji. Cute, even, if you ask me... although Chikyuuji scores the 'cutest' prize.
So... any other fans?

*raises hand* Here, here! o/

It was one of my first animes. I still watch it, but now laughing much more often. And now that I'm older, I can see how incredibly gay these series are. Yay for crazy fanfiction!

But I jump, scream and sing along fangirlishly every time I see Hironobu Kageyama performing it* live at anime conventions. ._. And I can see that only once or twice a year. ;_;

*It = Pegasus Fantasy. >_>' "Edit" button saves the day once again.

I have heard of it, but I have never seen it. I'm told the spanish version is quite good, but as I don't know enough spanish to be able to watch it, much less Walker: Texas Ranger (yes, I saw that in Spanish. It was... hilarious...)

Should I get the American version, or go out of my way to search for some subs that probably don't exist?

Well, as I stated out in an another thread here I haven't watched much of Saint Seiya, only two movies: Tenkai Hen - Overture OVA and Shinku no Snounen Densetsu. And they're both pretty good, even that newer one. I like that retro character designs and animation. I wonder if I can get the entire series somewhere...

I LOVE Saint Seiya! I just wish the author would just go on and write the rest of the Heaven arc of the manga...

I'm curious about something.

See, the Starlight Extinction is stronger than the Stardust Revolution, right?

Then why didn't Shion and Mu switch moves, since the former uses the SR and the latter the SE?

Yes, the Spanish version is spectacular. Go being Colombian. However, the American version is just a butchery that I watched and cringed through. PURPLE BLOOD?! Jesus, I think I'd prefer them to edit OUT the blood then change the color...

As to SE and SR, I'm not entirely sure as to which is stronger. Perhaps Extinction was Mu's own creation?

its the other way around...

Starlight Extinction its the Basic Move, And Stardust Revolution is tis master form...

Starlight Extinction is a "Point Blank" Energy Blast, and Stardust Revolution is more like a Shooting Star Rain of doom...

Also... the Hades arc its the BEST arc of the entire series... i recomend you guys start watching the series from there... as the original series (from the 80's) its a real low in quality nowadays..

But they won't understand it!

Well, that's my biased opinion, having grown with a good dub and all... but anyway, the best thing to do is read the mangá and watch the series... but Hades got some of the good changes (for example, when the Gold Saints fight against Radamanthys and don't fall so easily).

I think it should be noted that Masami Kuromada IS officially continuing the Saint Seiya manga with a new story arc called "Next Dimension: Legend of the Dark Lord", which will focus on the Holy war that happened 200 and some odd years ago and explain the relationship between two certain characters...

well... Saint Seiya is one of the biggest milking cows from anime (i think that's even bigger then DBZ )

Not really. Despite being very popular in pretty much every country in the world BESIDES America, the series was actually cancelled after the Poseidon Arc, and pretty much remained that way for almost a DECADE AND A HALF before they finally decided to animate the Hades arc, along with a Heaven Overture film. With the Dark Lord Legend manga and Episode, I suppose you can say that the series is entering a "Second Renaisance" so to speak. As far as "milking" goes, the only major merchandising of witnessed in my travels have been action figures.

Comparing all of that to other "Popular Anime", Saint Seiya actually seems quite humble, despite it's popularity.
