Yeah, here's the thing. I'm actually the fairly new poster by the handle of Transcend. I was curious if the system allowed for non-ASCII usernames, so I decided to create one in Chinese, and then never do anything with it. I was then surprised to find the New Posters thing where I had to type "I Accept The Rules." Now, I do not think this is a problem. It's a good idea.

But why did I not have to do this with my recently-created Transcend handle? How did I accidentally manage to avoid that? Just thought you should know the system is apparently imperfect. Not that it really matters.

Well, I'll be becoming Transcend again. I generally disagree with the idea of forum alter-egos.

Its a fairly new thing. I think that its less than two weeks old, as I remember me, as well as others had some odd 6 second ban difficulties when it first arose

About two weeks, yes. Everyone (only a few thousand, yanno) who registered before got away, which of course doesn't mean they get away with shady stuff. Let's call it implicit and explicit agreement to the rules, respectively.
