Oh well, I worked on these all the week-end. It started as a little doodle of RM in my Economics exam questionnaire, and now I had to continue. As I promised (did I promised? ¬_¬ Hmm....) you'll see the other members of the cast!

Ya. To get off the subject a bit :sweatdrop This is what I believe Fighter (before class change) would like like if he was evil, where he would live, and what would happen there. This was obviously done in paint >_< Not very good with the Gimp yet, so MS Paint must do. Planning on elaborating a bit (corpses, probably just civilian looking people from the comic, maybe with a sword in them, an evil red one!) Also plan on making the blood-rain better. So, ya, took me bouts an hour and 15 minutes. That's with all of the reading the forums while on a break :rolleyes: I'm done ranting now. Just happy I'm posting a 'picture' in the arts and crafts :shifty: Also, don't give me suggestions, please, as it will probably only confuse me =p Possibly dumb it down a litte. ... ...

As for your work Kaelus, I agree with Krylancelo; it took me some time to recognize them. Well, WM was easy, with he camisole and red hair, but if I had not remembered there is only another young woman in the comics, I wouldn't have realized it was Sara... ^^""" It's sure we don't see her much in fanart and she doesn't wear anything significative.
Tough that picture is quite decent nonetheless, especially their legs, wich are beautiful! :)

I've drawn only chibi and males for a too long period, I have lost the touch at woman's legs...(as you can see in my drawing featuring me as a Red Mage/Wizard) xD

Well, as for myself, I was working on this drawing but I won't probably finish it. Even now that BM got class change too (or maybe just clothes change...). The scan is awful with black and white stuff. Well, it's not totally B&W, I colored there eyes. I noticed when looking at my cute LW piccies that I gave the four primary colors as eye color. I tought it was cool.

First of all, I don't know why you think the black and white ruined the drawing. I love the shades in both RM and BM's robes, since they look pretty smooth and believable. What I can notice is that you are halfway through the drawing, so you should finish it so we can all drool under the delightfulness of a realistic Light Warrior team. *¬*

Kaelus, that stuff is ultimate too! I especially love the Thief-Red Mage one. Very cute but it also somehow suits both the characters.

As for your other drawing, I admit I didn't pick Sara right away but that is because I completely forgot about her character what with all this fanart involving the main characters mostly. While that drawing is good too, I really don't see white mage going lesbian, because of her religion (It seems suspiciously like catholicism in some parts). But the point of fan art is to escape from the restraints put on characters by the storyline too, so it is still 10/10 like everything else here.

Now we just need someone to do a Matoya X Bahamut one. :p

Ok, I'm working on an EPS in her dress she wears around the castle. At the moment it looks ok (I surprised myself) but I've made some major mistakes with the back view. (ie, She is about 2x as fat on the back view as the front view :P)

In the mean time I made this for Celebren (mostly) with an online Lite Brite program while I'm looking for my actual Lite Brite. (We stashed it somewhere when everyone in my family had turned 7 and gotten over that sort of thing... that was 11 years ago..)

Me WUVS the shading! :whee: Looks very much like Hiroaki Samura's art, one of my favorite mangakas (the best ever, in my opinion). It's difficult to draw fabrics using only pencil, but you did it wonderfully! Congrats! Oh, and you didn't draw BM's clown pants... my eyes thank you. ;)

Thanks people. The brites took all of 15 minutes each really. I just had the sprite sheet open to work off. I guess I should put more time into making things better but that is my biggest flaw when it comes to art. The link to the program is:

Anyone who claims they suck at art (like me) should try it out. Make sure you have the sprite to work off in view the entire time. The hardest part is deciding what to do with all the 'black' parts of the sprite which separate colours. (This especially sucked in Theif's case Edit: AND Triple especially sucked with White Mage, SHE took an hour >.<")

Anyway as for that EPS I was working on. The front took about 30 minutes to get right. I drew the back in about 5 minutes (and it shows) and I'll probably do another better one tomorrow. Any tips would be LOVED and shading help would be especially appreciated as I cannot do that AT ALL. (possibly in a different place to avoid making the thread unessecarily long)

Anyway. Thanks to everyone who's contributed and inspired me to try some stuff out today. I haven't been "arty" for about a year since afore mentioned breakdowns and it was really fun. I'll hopefully be making a daily habit of it now. But only 8-Bit stuff for now. It seems to be the easiest because sprites are open to so much interpretation...

PS. I also tried to draw Rodney with aspirations to make my way up to the coveted King Steve but those failed repeatedly. It was still fun laughing at how much I can't make long haired drawings look male.

Edit: Kaelus, I decided to do this for you just before I went to bed. Black Mage was by far the hardest, (that was until I did white mage tomorrow... is your brain sore yet) because you can't use black to separate his clothes like on the sprites. I settled for white. I think it makes him look more powerful somehow. (Thanks to my brother for the white suggestion)

Neko Tera-san: I didn't said black and whtie killed the drawing, it's the scan who did! Scanning is so hard on graphite stuff, it turned out all yellowish, bits of it disseapeared... I tried to fix it quickly but it's no good. Tough a kind soul, Lyndyn, is trying to fix it... ^^
I'm not going to finish it any soon if I ever finish it, as I said, BM class changed and Thief is just plain ugly upside-down. I even noticed a few thingies I forgot to add to RM's outfit... BM's still good, maybe I'll separate him from the rest and post it as a single picture. I dunno...

Yes it is done with the kind of dry paints you used to use when you were 5 and your parents didn't want you to get wet paint on your clothes. They were $2 (Australian) for 16 colours so I though, ok fine you win... (This was about 2 weeks ago)

I am glad you all like that picture of Thief! I'm drawing Red Mage in the same style. It takes a long time to go over all the sketch lines in Paint Shop Pro, but the effect is worth it. ^_^

Pff. I don't know anyone that knows how to use Paint Shop correctly... except you, maybe. Because those pics were completely awesome. But usually, they just end up like that red eye shine on Arcane, from the TriAlliance site. Treece thinks she knows how to do Paint Shop... but in the end, for both of us, it ends up being a Pain shop. I only use iDraw, the gradients from MS Powerpoint, and MS Paint. The basic tools are actually pretty good, and in some cases, they're better than a lot of hi-tech, hi-graphic programs. I might do a BM/Fighter sketch on MS Paint... it'll be bad though.

I didn't really notice a lot of the detail until I went back and looked at it again just then. BM's scarf and the alternate look on fighter are the highlights of the piece (after 'No, bitch'. But that isn't really an art thing). Good job everyone.

LMFAO at the second Deborah in your physics doodle. (I probably dropped out of physics last year because I wasn't doodling enough and I broke my brain trying to understand the concepts). "I look pretty". The only problem I have with that, for the other characters, you haven't come up with your own comments, you just took lines from the comic. It is a shame because your original Red Mage one made me fall off my chair.

Thief is running around, trying to catch each spider, and Red Mage is wondering how the spiders could possibly make him more versatile.]

Vargus and Swordopolis [Comic: Fighter one day stumbles across Vargus Fighters Camp and comes in to visit his old teacher. Vargus, more elderly than before, talks to Fighter about his destiny, but he soon finds that he loses strength during some form of heartburn and collapses. Fighter runs off to get some help while Swordopolis appears to Vargus, saying that it was nearly his time to go. Vargus requests to speak with Fighter one last time before he went...]

Fighter Versus Black Mage [A picture based off my Fighter's Nightmare fanfiction, it basically shows where Fighter attempts at attacking Black Mage with all four of his swords, only to have his blows blocked.]

The Secret of the Forest Imps [A little cult of forest imps scribble out an evil plan of doom, obviously involving a form of humiliation towards Garland.]

Weee, I'm actually attempting to literally draw Fighter. I have a right arm, hand, shouler, face, and hair done with pencil line-age. I'm proud of myself. :D

Not sure if I'll be able to put it up if I ever finish, mainly because our scanner/printer isn't really hooked up to anything, and if it was, it would be my dad's computer.

I believe the poem was also stolen for use in the recent movie "Van Helsing" (It sucked but had Kate Beckinsale wearing a corset the entire movie so bleh)

Very nice Seran, someone must do werewolf Red Mage as well, considering he has been mauled/bitten to the brink of death by a couple.

Skit. Again. YAY! It is funny because he tried to maul Red Mage, you really like doing Red Mage X Theif don't you. Even if it doesn't have any sexual connotaions. :p

surprisedanielle: very good. I think that is the first picture here of black mage casting a spell. Very effective. Keep drawing!

Quickman: I kind of got bored and just chose "skip to end" halfway through the blood effects being produced but the end piece is superb, especially considering the medium you were using. :D

THe Wolf Man, the Pre Jason Voorhees if there ever was one. Many think it was Frankenstine's Monster, but it wasn't. The Monster oculd be stopped, it was almsot killed alot. WOlf Man? Quickman, that's insane. I was like, no way is that going to look good if he does THAT to it, what IS that?. And then a few seconds later I was like "OMG! That is so awesome! How did that happen?!"

PCD, Hey it isn't that bad, I refuse to believe you just "slopped that together" it is easily recognisable as theif. If you did do that quickly then I'm impressed at its level of quality and you should be capable of turning out images you're proud of within days. Also, the surprise in the top left corner made me laugh.
